The Uttarakhand police has on a tip off today conducted a raid in a guest house in Dehradun and red handed caught some girls involved in prostitution ( sex racket) including their clients and manager of the guest house. In all three women and three clients including the manager of the guest house were rounded up in this operation. This is not the first time but few months ago there had been a raid and several other call girls were nabbed by the police. There had also been instances of forcibly pushing innocent girls into prostitution. Such cases of busting of prostitution rings at Dehradun, the state capital , the hill stations like Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar. Haldwani and Nainital have become a common feature. During the Dehradun guest house raids several call girls were caught with their clients in allegedly un – compromising positions with the manager of the Guest house too caught by the police. Cases against the immoral traffic act and other relevant provisions of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita have been registered by the Dehradun police against the culprits.
