POLICE OUST LATE NIRBHAYA OF NAJAFGARH’S FATHER AND ACTIVISTS FROM DHARNA SITE AT JANTAR MANTAR TO SEEK JUSTICE FOR KIRAN NEGI AND ANKITA BHANDARI !
The relentlessly struggling father for the last eleven years to seek justice for his daughter who was was obnoxiously gang raped and brutally killed by three human beasts in 2012 after being abducted from Qutub Vihar Nazafgarh, Delhi Kunwar Singh Negi has been along with other activists ousted from the Dharna site at Jantar Mantar by Delhi Police personnel who say that written permission has not been sought by the organisers for the indefinite Dharna at Jantar Mantar.
The indefinite Dharna was commenced on 12 March , 2022 attended by good number of activists but after two days they were ousted from their protest site by police personnel even tearing their banners and posters amidst vociferous arguments blaming the organisers for not seeking the official permission.
Speaking to media, the father of the deceased daughter holding the framed posters of late Kiran Negi and Ankita BHANDARI reverentially at Jantar Mantar while registering his mobile protest, the traumatised but determined father having lost his job for years due to tiring court proceedings says that come what may I along with the struggling activists and my wife would continue to struggle hard to impress upon the supreme Court judiciary to reverse its decision and send the three culprits whom he termed as human beasts to gallows.
These protesters come to Jantar Mantar daily and squat on the road with displayed pictures of Kiran Negi and Ankita BHANDARI and demand death to culprits by raising slogans demand justice for their brutally killed daughters and talking to media.
The women activists also join Kiran’s father at Jantar Mantar daily on his mission to highlight his genuine grievance via mobile protest.
Kindly recall that Kunwar Singh Negi’s daughter then just 19 years old in 2012 and the only earning member of the family was abducted by three criminals from Qutub Vihar in a red Indica, then taken to Rodhai village territory in Haryana, obnoxiously gang raped and subsequently killed horrendously with acid sprinkled in her eyes, broken bottle inserted in her private parts and ears injured by screw driver including several gruesome wounds on her body.
The mutilated dead body of the fragile 19 year old innocent girl was found after three days in the precincts of Rodhai village in Haryana, sending shock waves around creating immense outrage among people of the national capital and Uttarakhand community.
The Chawla police who initially tried to allegedly hush up the case and not interested to lodge FIR came into active mode after the locally furious and vociferously angered populace protested outside the police station.
The criminals were finally caught and put behind bars but after tremendous protests at Jantar Mantar and news appearing in news papers and electronics media the credit for which undisputedly goes to late NGO activist Anita Negi Gupta who left no stone unturned to ensure that every women of Qutub Vihar, Najafgarh is activated and protest dharnas, candle marches etc are organised frequently.
This tragic case that happened few months ago in the year 2012 in the Vasant Vihar running bus was almost dead till 2014 when late Anita Negi Gupta took the cudgels in her hand and responsibly pursued the case demanding death to the culprits.
The case was posted at Dwarka Session Court and good number of protests were held outside the court. Finally all the three culprits getting got death sentence.
The convicts approached the Delhi High Court for relief but the sentence was upheld. However, in Supreme Court after the legal proceedings of nearly nine years pursued by the parents and the state government, the convicts shockingly got acquittal in the month of November, 2022 by a three judge bench comprising of previous CJI U. U. Lalit, Justices Mam Bela M Trivedi and Ravindra Bhatt blaming Delhi Police investigations for being full of loop holes and patchy in nature.
What is more worrisome is the fact that one of the culprits Vinod out of three acquitted had on 26 January, Republic Day killed another man, an auto driver in Dwarka and was arrested , now behind bars.
Meanwhile, the three review petitions filed by the father of late Kiran Negi, Delhi Police the stake holder and Uttarakhand Lok Manch have been admitted in Supreme Court and the CJI Justice D. Y. Chandrachud has assured in the first hearing of listening the case in open Court, giving sigh of relief to the aggrieved traumatised family hoping to get due justice in future. The second hearing of the case was held few days ago in the chamber of CJI via circulation. However, no order was written on that hearing with everyone keeping their fingers crossed.
