A massive fire broke out in the ninth floor residential flat in Abhay Khand , Gaur Green Avenue society damaging majorly another six floor downwards creating panic and fear in the entire society with people screaming for help running helter skelter with majority of the residents coming down hurriedly.
The senior journalist Ajit Anjum also resides here and was seen extinguishing the fire alongwith the local residents holding water pipes in their hands in panic.
Ajit Anjum said that his flat is just below one of the floors that has caught massive fire. There are reports that the fire reached the house of Ajit Anjum resulting in massive loss of property and important documents including electronic gadgets.
The exact reason of the fire has not been ascertained as after the fire is completely extinguished and the bulding cools down then only will the investigating team enter it and ascertain the exact reason of the fire after going into every detail of it minutely.
According to the latest news the incident occured in the morning hours on Wednesday at around 8.30 to 9 in the morning with heavy smoke billowing out from the ninth floor gradually spreading downwards in all the six floors.
After the residents hurriedly called the fire tenders , seventeen of them were rushed to the spot and fire extinguishing exercise commenced hurriedly with the fire controlled after several hours. Thank God there was no casualty but the six to nine floors of the buildings have been completely destroyed said the onlookers.
According to the chief fire officer Rahul in this Ghaziabad fire there is no human casualty as those trapped inside the burning flats were dexterously rescued but the ninth and tenth floor including the lower building floors have been completely destroyed.
However the residents say the ten to twelve flats have been fully gutted in this fire leading to massive loss of expensive material, cash, important documents, papers, expensive electronic gadgets, furniture, clothes, ornaments of gold and everything.
The Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has taken personal interest in the matter and instructed the district magistrate and commissioner Ghaziabad tk be present there personally to super use the entire operation and ensure safety of every resident including pricing them all necessary helps.
