A man eater ( Guldaar) has been shot dead by a professional hunter of Kumaon, Uttarakhand at Daina village periphery in Dwarhat area after it had made a senior citizen its prey brutally killing him. This man eater was an immense threat to the residents of Dwarhat at and its surrounding villages. The inhabitants of Dwarhaat and the surrounding villages have heaved a great sign of relief after getting rid of this man eater posing direct threat to human lives. The government’s forest and wild life department had first tried to trap this man eater in cages but after failing to do so, professional hunters were hired to killed the predator. Human kills by predators have become the order of the day in Uttarakhand with senior citizens, ( men n women) n children becoming their immediate n easy prey. During the last two weeks three children had been killed by these carnivores in Garhwal and Kumaon division of Uttarakhand.
