Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul and all MPs of INDIA detained / arrested while going to EC headquarter against Vote Chori and demanding stoppage of SIR IN BIHAR

Several MPs of the India National Inclusive Developmental Alliance led by the leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi, veteran Congress leader and Leader Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge today protested from parliament House to Election Commission to demand immediate stoppage to the exercise of Special Intensive Revision of Electoral rolls in Bihar. Several MPs like Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge , Priyanka Gandhi and MPs from all the constituents of the INDIA squatted on the road and protested raising anti EC slogans demanding that the SIR exercise in Bihar to be stopped immediately. Several MPs including the veteran Congress leader and chief Mallikarjun Kharge and several others courted arrests. Only thirty leaders of INDIA were allowed to meet the election commissioner at 12 PM and what transpired in their meeting will be known later on, if they attend it. Meanwhile, the TMC woman MP was badly roughed up by the police and was unconscious. The Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi and several women MPs squatted on the road in protest as they were not allowed to go ahead in their peaceful march to the Election Commission headquarter. They were demanding stoppage to the SIR of electoral rolls in Bihar forthwith as according to them the whole exercise is a farce cutting the names of lakhs of genuine voters under the false grounds of not accepting their Adhar Cards etc. Annoyed and infuriated Rahul Gandhi said this is not a political fight but a fight to protect our constitution. Actually we cannot talk to the Election Commission. We have been stopped and detained, not allowed to go to the election commission headquarters. The truth is before the nation and the fight is not political but to save our nation. The Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was also very vociferous saying that LOP Rahul Gandhi asked serious questions from the election commission regarding anomalies and corruption in the voters list, casting of votes and elections, instead of answering to his queries, they are not allowing him to go to ECI and detaining MPs. Rahul Gandhi posted a video of his arrest and wrote in X : Today when we were going to meet the Election Commission all the MPs of India Alliance were stopped and taken into custody. The truth of vote theft is now before the country. The fight is not political but to save our constitution and the right of one person one vote. The United opposition and every voter in the country demands : A clean and transparent voters list and we will secure this right at all costs said Rahul Gandhi while speaking to the media from the police van after being detained/arrested. It may be recalled that just two days ago the LOP Rahul Gandhi addressed a largely attended press conference and exposed the EC about being silent, pathetic and negligent deliberately despite over one lakh fake voters allegedly casting their votes in Madhepura Assembly constituency and likewise in many other constituencies of the country charging the ruling political dispensation for allegedly committing mischief under the nose and in league with he EC.
