Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal who sacrificed himself killing four dreaded terrorist in Kashmir awarded SHAURYA CHAKRA by president, posthumously

The president of India Ram Nath Kovind today honoured major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal of Rashtriya Rifles with coveted SHAURYA CHAKRA at a glittering function at Rashtrapati Bhawan posthumously for his extreme n exemplary bravery sacrificing his life in anti terrorist operation in Kashmir killing five dreaded terrorists resulting in unearth of 200 kilograms RDX and also for other exemplary high level valiant anti terrorist operations at a young age.

His wife and mother received the prestigious bravery coveted award at the hands of President Ram Nath Kovind at a significant function at Rashtrapati Bhawan in the presence of prime minister Narendra Modi, defence minister Rajnath Singh, union home minister Amit Shah and entire central cabinet and senior officers of Indian Army.

Kindly recall that Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal and his four compatriots were martyred in the fateful month of February on 18 th, 2019 in the exchange of fire with coward Pakistan sponsored extremists in Kashmir when they bravely killed four hardened terrorists responsible for Pulwama attacks.

Major Vobhuti and his valiant compatriots killed four terrorist during the anti terror operation resulting in unearthing twi hundred kilograms of RDX as well.

He had left behind his traumatic wife and literally tormented family while he was merely thirty four years old, sending shock waves all over Uttarakhand.

Exhibiting an exemplary patriotic fervour and paying true, richest tributes to her husband Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal ‘s supreme sacrifice for the nation, Nikita Kaul Dhaundiyal formally joined the India Army as a brave, determined and dedicated woman officer to the rank of Lieutenant at Chennai due to prevailing Covid 19 pandemic, in a simple function after passing out a gruelling eleven months military training after successfully qualifying the exams of Short Service Commission.

A Woman of grit, determination, commitment, dedication, perseverance, guts n gumption fully ready to put herself to the gruelling eleven months hard training after her husband’s supreme sacrifice at such a young age just after a year,’s marriage, Nikita Vibhuti Dhaundiyal, primarily hailing from Kashmir though working in a multinational corporation in Delhi, was heading for Delhi from Dehradun on 19 th February, 2019 in a train when all hell broke out when she received a call from Kashmir about this gruesome tragedy.

She immediately returned back while having covered half the distance shockingly stunned and grief stricken, not knowing what to do.

But restoring her composure she washed her tears and stood confident to face any eventuality in life pledging in front of her martyred husband’s Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal, saluting him, to serve the nation with more patriotic fervour and commitment, not only to avenge his and other soldiers’ supreme sacrifices and that of her husband but also to send a message across that martyrdom, for the nation is more significant than losing one’s own most prized emotional possession.

In the presence of infinite number of people in tears paying their heartfelt tributes at Dehradun and Haridwar brave Nikita Kaul Dhaundiyal had just, after losing her everything in just a year’s time after her marriage to Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal pledged to carry forward her husband’s flame of patriotic fervour dying for the nation, after killing two dreaded terrorists responsible for tragic Pulwama attacks that killed several army men sending across a most traumatic and shocking wave not only in the country but globally as well.

The Indian Army’s Ordinance Corps in a post in social media while paying their richest tributes to Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal decorating him as a THUNDURER and extending their heartiest congratulations to Nikita Kaul Dhaundiyal wrote : Sua Tela Tonanti”To the thunderer – His Arms or To the Soldier – His fighting needs: Army Ordnance Corps.
Lieutenant Nitika Kaul, Brave Daughter, Veer Naari, Soldier, Inspiration, passes out of OTA after grueling military training and joins Army Ordnance Corps two years after her husband, Maj Vibhuti Dhoundiyal SC (P) bravely laid down his life in an anti-terror operation in Pulwama, J&K.

There had been lot of casualties in Jammu and Kashmir from Uttarakhand during the exchange of fire from across the border and the hardened terrorists taking precious lives of our young jawans n officers who had killed hundreds of hardened terrorists sponsored, aided and abetted by Pakistan viz of Garhwal Rifles and other regiments of Indian Army. It may be recalled that that on 19 th February while saluting her martyred husband at Dehradun anguished Nikita Kaul Dhaundiyal in tears cried giving him a flying kid, saying, I love you Vibhuti, I pledge to join Indian Army like you. And she joined Indian Army as a Commissioned Lieutenant after 11 months of gruelling training.

Youngest among his three sister martyred Major Vibhuti Dhaundiyal was merely 34 yrs old and the only some of her aggreived parents.

His father expired in 2015 and the family’s look after was on his shoulders. His two sisters were married whereas one sister was unmarried working as a teacher in Doon International. He belonged to Dhaund village in Baijron, Pauri Garhwal district, a village dominated by a Dhaundiyal caste.

Earlier some other brave women had taken the pledge to serve the Indian Army to avenge their husbands’ sacrifices for the country and some of them are viz Sangeeta the wife of Rifleman Shishir who was killed while bravely fighting the hardened terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and wife of Harrawala rresident namely Deepak Nainwal who was martyred in Kashmir while countering the Pak sponsored terrorists.

He was grievously injured and succumbed while being treated in Army hospital. Rifleman Shishir eas in Gorkha Rifles whereas and Deepak Nainwal in Garhwal Rifles. Shishir’s wife Sangeeta and Nainwal’s wife Jyoti joined India Army paying their richest tributes to their martyred husbands in 2016 and 2018 respectively as Army officers. Salutes.
