Leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka and several Congress MPs left for Sambal. Rahul stopped at Border amid tremendous tense situation

The leader of the opposition and MP from Rae Bareilly Rahul Gandhi has been stopped at the Delhi UP border by strong police force deployed there.

The Congress leader was heading for Sambhal to assess the situation for himself and as a leader of the opposition he has full constitutional right to go their but in his address to large numbers of Congress leaders, MPs, MLAs and activists present there he said that the constitutional rights of the leader of the opposition who is entitled to go to Sambhal constitutionally are being snatched thus violating every constitutional norm and throwing democracy to the winds.

Rahul Gandhi waved the copy of the constitution in front of the excited and enthusiastic acrimonious crowd and said that the constitutional norms are being openly violated and a leader of the opposition is being stopped to go to riot torn Sambhal district which is his constitutional right.

The Congress leader and MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi has also left her residence to join Rahul Gandhi at the border to go to Sambhal and good number of Congress MPs have also joined them.

The situation at the border is extremely tense as hundreds of policemen have been deployed at the border with the crowds number swelling in thousands.

Just a day ago hundreds of protesting peasants had violated prohibitory orders and broken the heavy police barricades running towards Delhi.

The police had the hard day dealing with the angered protestors in thousands.

The angered peasants who were demanding time for a concrete meeting for minimum support price were pacified after tremendous efforts made by the police officers and made to return back after assurances given in this regard.

In parliament the entire opposition walked out and protested at the parliament entrance with Rahul leading them holding play cards. The AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh raised slogans against Adani, PM Modi and the BJP led NDA government holding them responsible for corruption and asking PM to come to he house and respond to the United opposition’s several charges and serious allegations of corruption against Adani and the internal complicity of those in power with vociferous opposition MPs responding to Sanjay Singh’s slogans. The huge banner mention Modi Adani are one.
