I want to drink the blood of the brutes who gang raped his innocent daughter cries the grief stricken father in pain

The most obnoxious, shameful and heartwrenching tragedy occured at Champawat in Uttarakhand that makes our heads down with shame.

After the gang rape of a minor, the minor’s father said, “I want to drink the blood of those brutes.” The daughter was born after 52 years of hard work. Along with her studies, she also cared for her ailing father.

This incident, which emerged from the remote Salli area of Champawat, Uttarakhand, is not just a crime, but a painful story of a father’s shattered dreams.

The victim’s father explained that he was blessed with a child for a long time after marriage. He prayed for years, and finally, at the age of 52, he was blessed with a daughter. This daughter became the greatest joy of his life. But fate dealt another blow when the girl was just six months old and her mother died due to illness. After this, the father single-handedly raised his daughter, protecting her from all difficulties, and taking full responsibility for her education.

Over time, the daughter grew up and started studying in Class 10. Meanwhile, the 70-year-old father’s health deteriorated, and he became unable to walk below the waist. It was the daughter who showed courage and brought him from the village to Champawat city. There, she rented a room and started working at a shop while studying, to cover the household expenses and her father’s treatment. A daughter, who was still a minor, stood as a support for her father.

Meanwhile, she had gone to a village about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters to attend a friend’s mehndi ceremony. But no one could have predicted that this joyous occasion would turn into a horrific tragedy.

It is alleged that three individuals—Puran Singh Rawat, Naveen Singh, and Vinod Singh Rawat, including the BJP Mandal vice president and former head—committed this heinous crime. This incident not only raises questions about law and order but also serves as a serious warning to society.

Following the incident, the accused snatched the student’s mobile phone, assaulted her, and locked her in a room, tying her hands and legs. The victim was left helpless, a fact that reflects the brutality of the incident.

Upon receiving information, the police immediately launched a joint operation and recovered the student from a locked room, where she was found bound and in a critical condition. The entire area was in an uproar, and a large number of people gathered at the scene.

Police said that separate teams have been formed to arrest the accused, and raids are being conducted continuously. Preliminary investigations have revealed that one of the accused is a former village head and BJP Mandal vice-president, another works in a dairy, and the third is preparing for competitive exams.
While filing the complaint, the elderly father repeatedly inquired about his daughter’s well-being.

In pain and helplessness, he said that he was unable to move, yet he should be taken before the accused once – he wanted to ‘drink the blood’ of those brutes, only then would he find peace.”
