On Sunday another shocking news is coming from Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
The most shocking news is that even people in the forest minister Subodh Uniyal’s ancestral village Unni are no safe.
In the Uttarakhand’s forest Minister Subodh Uniyal’s native scientific village, Unni, a man-eating leopard has fatally attacked a 45-year-old Vineeta Devi, leaving her profusely bleeding with a deep wound in her neck, badly terrified.

Fortunately, the severely injured woman was immediately ferried to the government hospital in Srinagar and is being treated medically. We pray for her speedy recovery.
But this incident has raised serious questions about the system that doesn’t seems to be adequately functioning.
The terror of leopards has increased so much in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand that people are no longer safe in their own homes.
Innocent people are becoming prey to these man-eaters every day. The furious residents of the affected villages are asking :
Is this a deliberate conspiracy?
We are all born on this soil, and our ancestors spent their lives in these forests. Leopards existed in the past too, but direct attacks on humans were rare (barely 1%).
What has suddenly changed today is that these animals are seeking prey within villages and homes? Serious doubts arise: are these animals being deliberately released or pushed toward populated areas? Their increasing numbers and subsequent fatal attacks on human behngs near human habitats unambiguously reveal that they are being released unnthe hilly regions of Uttarakhand posing direct threat to human lives with fatalities on the rise.
When will our government and public representatives wake up?
Our mountains are already being emptied due to migration, and those who are courageously protecting their culture and land have been left helpless in the face of wildlife.
The people demand from the Uttarakhand government immediate credubke remedies as the time for empty promises is over; concrete steps on the ground need to be executed said the affected villagers of Unni village.
The Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal is being questioned that if the people of his own ancestral village are not safe then what will happen to the rest of the state? Speeches and mere hollow promises alone will no longer suffice; we need immediate, strong action to protect ourselves saud the angered villagers.
They appealed to all Uttarakhand residents to unite and raise their voices on this serious issue adding further that if they remain silent today, tomorrow someone else’s courtyard will be empty. Share this post as widely as possible to make this voice reach the government appealed the villagers in social media.
According to the news a leopard attacked a woman in Uni village, the ancestral village of Uttarakhand’s Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal. The woman was seriously injured.
