Husband – wife die after a boulder fell on the vehicle they were travelling in from Dehradun to their village

In Uttarakhand accidents have become the order of the day and during rainy season landslides and falling of debris including boulders damaging running vehicles claiming lives of commuters are almost daily becoming headlines if newspapers. This is really a very disturbing trend clearly indicating that the wrath of the nature is behind those living in Uttarakhand or are travelling here. Just few days ago about ten people travelling in a vehicle near Sonprayag, Mankutiya were grievously injured and one woman from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra was killed. Prior to that about 26 pilgrims of Madhya Pradesh had died after the bus they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge with fifty percent of them being adolescents. While, people of Uttarakhand and elsewhere had not forgotten this brutal tragedy of the nature and thereafter several others, yet another tragedy occured on Sunday when a couple died in a tragic natural calamity about 500 metres away from Gwaldam National Highway ahead of Bagoli Shivalaya after a boulder fell on a running vehicle due to a landslide. According to the latest news a couple namely Balwant Singh and Savitri Devi were heading from Dehradun to their village Meta ( Malla) in Garhwal when all of a, sudden a heavy boulder fell on their running car killing both of them on the spot smashing them along with the car. The tragedy was so brutal that the car was badly smashed by the huge impact of the boulder. Our heartfelt tributes with prayers to Almighty to render peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this mist irreperable loss.

कर्णप्रयाग ग्वालदम राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग बगोली शिवालय से आगे 500 मीटर की दूरी (चपच्यान पानी) पर पहाड़ी से चट्टान खिसकने से चलती कार मे भारी वजनदार पत्थर गिरने से कार सवार पति पत्नी कि दर्दनाक मौत हुई है ये लोग देहरादून से अपने ग्राम मेटा (मला ) जा रहे थे मृत्यक श्री बलवंत सिंह और उनकी पत्नी श्रीमती सावित्री देवी ने घटना स्थल पर ही दम तोड़ दिया !
