UKD activists protest against the visit of Dushyant Gautam in Roorkee, Uttarakhand

On the one hand at the centre the BJP led NDA govt’s bill on Women Reservation cum delimitation related 131 constitutional ammendment fell down by the United opposition, in Uttarakhand the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal activists held a protest demonstration against the Uttarakhand BJP’s incharge Dushyant Gautam who had come to Roorkee invited by the BJP Roorkee unit.

Hundreds of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal protestors marched to the Roorkee BJP office to gherao the BJP leader Gautam who has allegedly been named as the VIP in Ankita Bhandari case by the former BJP MLA from Haridwar Suresh Rathore and audio posted in social media by actor Urmila Sanawar who was earlier close to him while in BJP now a rebel.

She claims to be the wife of Suresh Rathore ex MLA of BJP.
The infuriated UKD activists and local leaders marched to the Roorkee BJP office to oppose him raising anti BJP and slamming the BJP Uttarakhand Incharge Dushyant Gautam saying that he should not be allowed to enter Uttarakhand as he has been allegedly named as a VIP in Ankita Bhandari case which is under CBI investigation currently.
The police had a hard day dealing with the acrimonious UKD protestors some of whom had to be physically lifted by legs and hands by the police personnel.
The women activists of UKD demanded that Dushyant Gautam be brought to justice and justice given to the aggrieved family at the earliest.
After being named as a VIP in Ankita Bhandari sensitive case Dushyant Gautam was initially kept at bay and was keeping himself away from Uttarakhand.
His picture was also not being printed on banners and hoardings as BJP was fearing reprisal and retaliation from the infuriated people of Uttarakhand if he comes here but last month he was in Dehradun after a long gap.
The angered women activists of UKD had torn the banners of BJP in Rishikesh at the residence of the former minister Aggrawal when they saw the picture of Dushyant Gautam on one of the hoardings and banners.
Such is the opposition to the entry of Dushyant Gautam in Uttarakhand and even in BJP – women activists are deadly against him. The BJP thinks that if he is allowed to meddle in the Uttarakhand affairs as Incharge the party may drastically suffer in the upcoming assembly elections to be held in 2027.
