Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha and union state minister Ajay Tamta condole the death of tourists and staff members of Goa fire tragedy
8 Uttarakhand's staff members and tourists also succumbed to serious burn injuries



A fire broke out at a nightclub in Goa on Saturday midnight. Twenty-five people, including three women, were burned alive in the tragic incident. The deceased included five tourists and 20 club employees.
The dead included five tourists and 20 club employees.
The following list of Uttarakhand residents who lost their lives in the Goa fire has been released:
Jitendra (son of the late Santa Singh), resident of Tehri Garhwal, Goa (staff)
• Satish (son of Surendra Singh Rana), resident of Tehri Garhwal, worked as a hotel staff in Goa.
Manish (son of Krishna Singh Maher), resident of Champawat, Goa (staff)
• Sumit Negi (staff)
Surendra (son Amar Singh), resident of Pithoragarh (Staff)
• Saroj Joshi, Native – Uttarakhand (Tourist)
• Anita Joshi, Native – Uttarakhand (Tourist)
• Kamla Joshi, resident Karaul Nagar, Delhi/Uttarakhand origin (tourist).
It is extremely heartbreaking to see three sisters of the same family, Saroj Joshi ji, Anita Joshi ji, Kamla Kabdwal ji and their brother-in-law Vinod Kabdwal ji, passing away in this horrific accident.
All three four family members were consigned to flames and accorded final tearful adieu at Nigam bodh Ghat where the union minister of state for Transport and NHAI was also present.
Expressing his deepest condolences and restful adieu Ajay Tamta said : No words can express the grief that has befallen this family from Ranikhet. May God grant peace to the departed souls and give the family the strength to endure this immense pain.
