FORMER UTTARAKHAND CM Skips his presence at CBI headquarter for voice sample, cites reason of abnormal health !

The 75 years old veteran Congress leader and former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat today skipped from CBI by not presenting himself at its headquarters at Lodhi Road, New Delhi. He cited the reason of bad health and the information about his not able to join the investigation with the premier investigation agency was conveyed to CBI by his lawyer through a letter citing the reasons with proper medical papers etc.

Kindly recall that former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat was delivered the CBI summons few day ago in the Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant where he was admitted for three days after his car had met with an accident at Kashipur.

Former CM Harish Rawat was summoned to come to Lodi Road CBI central office to give his voice samples etc in connection with a case filed against him by CBI pertaining to a sting operation conducted on him by a former chief editor of SAMACHAR PLUS Umesh Kumar, now, MLA from Khanpur after defeating the wife of several times MLA Kunwar champion.

During 2016 when about 9 to 11 Congress MLAs had defected to BJP and the Congress government was destabilised , a sting was conducted in which talks regarding horse trading etc with reference of huge money allegedly changing hands etc took place between Umesh Kumar and Harish Rawat.

The matter was highlighted on television channels and print media tremendously creating quite a furore and uproar in Uttarakhand’s political corridors and assembly session including media.

According to Rawat who has send his reply to CBI through an advocate has also tried to hit his political rival Harak Singh without naming him directly.

Rawat wrote if Horse trading or defection is the cause for enquiry against me then there are several politicians who had changed sides twice or several times, then what about them.

This reference directly hits Dr. Harak Singh Rawat in particular and leader of the opposition Yashpal Arya who are considered to be the bette noire of Harish Rawat.

In his social media, post Rawat has written in Hindi :

CBI has called me today to its head quarter in Delhi for voice test and some preliminary investigations. When this notice was being served to me at Jolly Grant Himalayan Hospital, I acknowledged the receipt of this request and also wrote in the same notice that perhaps I would not be capable of sitting for hours for a month or so, for the tests and such a long journey. . Yesterday I have also sent a written application to the CBI head quarter. Today I will also convey this request to CBI through my advocate.

I would like to urge my well wishers to discuss with people as to for which crime CBI is investigating #HarishRawat. If the matter is about defection, then the defectors have already made more defections, and by the time this matter reaches its logical conclusion, perhaps some more twists and turns will be seen in this whole episode.

The Honorable High Court and the Honorable Supreme Court, who are the supreme decision makers, have given their decision on this entire matter. The people of the state have also formed new governments twice after that.

After all, what is the grudge that the present government wants to take out from Harish Rawat for which CBI investigation is being made the medium? This fact should be made public.

I am like Dadhichi for Congress. Any harassment against me will give strength to Congress. I am satisfied if I have not been able to win the elections for the Congress and not win the elections myself. If Congress gets some political benefit from the ongoing action against me, then my well-wishers should consider it as another small contribution of mine in the politics of the state.
