Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia denied bail in Delhi High Court with bail of two other businessmen dismissed

Arrested on 26 th February by the India’s premiere investigating agency CBI in a new Delhi excise liquor policy and money laundering scam former Delhi chief minister Manish Sisodia has been denied bail today by the Delhi High Court.

Another former minister of Health Satyendra Jain is also in Tihar prison for more than a year in another money laundering case.

Along with the denial of bail of Manish Sisodia by Delhi High Court, the bail of other two petitioners viz Hyderabad based businessmen Abhishek Boinpally and Vijay Nair associated with AAP have also been dismissed forthwith.

They were earlier granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court.

This bail denial to these undertrials are in connection of the ED charge sheet in a money laundering case allegedly generated out of the new excise liquor policy scam now scrapped.

Former deputy chief minister and a AAP heavyweight since February 26 CBI arrest, Manish Sisodia is in Tihar Prisons for the last 5 and a half months having not received any relief from courts till date.

According to the latest report, the justice of High Court said that there is possibility of the senior AAP leader as if released on bail he may influence the witnesses. Moreover he has not fulfilled the twin conditions for seeking bail under the PMLA 2002 .

Kindly recall that previously two attempts of Manish Sisodia to seek bail were turned down in Delhi High Court as well as in the Rouse Avenue Court in alleged corruption in the new excise liquor policy and laundering cases filed by CBI and ED.

While rejecting the bail of Manish Sisodia earlier by the Rouse Avenue court, the judge said that the case of economic offences having serious impact on the common public speaks to much about the volumes of the involvement in commission of the side offence.

While two former ministers of AAM Admi party are in prison fighting cases related to money laundering and alleged corruption, the national Convenor of AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival along with his vociferous lieutenants Sanjay Singh MP Rajya Sabha and, Punjab CM Mann etc are busy trying to garner support of majority of the non BJP opposition key leaders including the Congress on the central ordinance issue.
