Fatal attacks by maneater in Ekeshwar block represented by Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj, people badly infuriated

The forest and wild life department of Uttarakhand has proved to be a total failure.
The increasing number of maneater fatal attacks on human beings in Uttarakhand almost on every alternate day has made the lives of its residents living in interior villages not only extremely difficult but totally insecure with the threat and terror of maneaters looming large like a swinging sword on their invaluable lives.
After the surge in construction activities, the all weather roads project, the Rishikesh to Karnaprayag rail project , subsequent massive deforestation and dynamite explosions, drilling of mountains in widening of the roads and in various hydro projects including drilling of tunnels – the carnivores living inside jungles are feeling insecure and running out of jungles for flesh which is also diminishing. Therefore the human beings are their ultimate prey.
Hundreds of leopards are roaming around in Uttarakhand on prowl for human flesh and the women in fields, children in their residential compounds and senior citizens on roadsides are becoming the easy prey of these predators.
Moreover, the releasing of the leopards in the Jim Corbett park areas extending several hundred kilometres have given the carnivores free hand to roam around and attack the human beings.
Though the government of Uttarakhand has not furnished any definite statistics about the deaths of human beings by these maneaters, intentionally, there are reports that around five hundred people have died due to the man eaters’ attacks during the last couple of years with the state government a complete failure to counter these brutal deaths.
Just today, unfortunately, a leopard made a fatal attack on a person from Dhangsayoli village of Ekeshwar block under Chaubattakhal assembly constituency represented by Satpal Maharaj, cabinet minister of Uttarakhand.
On one hand, the government is increasing their ( leopards’) numbers by giving false figures, while on the other hand, our people are losing their lives at their hands every day.
The day before yesterday, while coming from Pauri to Banghat via Advani late in the evening, leopards were found at 4-5 different places. The lives of those riding two-wheelers at night are at risk. People are not safe in their homes and villages.
The government claims that their number is around 3,000, but in reality, the number is estimated to be ten times of what the government mentions in reality.
Enough of compensation… The government should decide whether Uttarakhand needs humans or leopards. People of Garhwal, Uttarakhand are badly infuriated, fed up and angered a
