Dr. Rawat’s close friend Umesh Sharma Kau who accompanied him till Delhi said whatever was destined happened n Rawat joined Congress

The BJP lawmaker from Raipur assembly constituency in Uttarakhand Umesh Sharma Kaw who had defected to BJP along with Dr. Harak Singh Rawat and was accompanying him to Delhi before Dr. Rawat joined Congress six days ago said that he tried his best to advise him not to join Congress but what was destined happened finally. He said that we were together in a car and when we reached the Delhi border Dr Rawat said he would like to go to his Green Park house so we were separated as I went to Uttarakhand Sadan and ge went to his house, since that day we have chosen our ideologically different paths. Senior BJP lawmaker Umesh Kumar Kau was answering to the questions of media men at the BJP office in Dehradun today where he had gone to collect his symbol. When asked if Dr. Rawat as he had desired, contests from Raipur assembly constituency on Congress ticket what will be the contest like n will he defeat him, Kau said the electorates of the constituency would decide. How can I answer it? A close friend of Dr. Harak Singh Rawat who tried his best to keep him in good humour always discouraging him to join Congress, and then also when Dr. Rawat boycotted the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, demanding opening of the medical college at Kotdwar etc Umesh Kumar Kau said that what was accepted to God happened n we have now parted our paths ideologically on different planks. However, wishing all the very best to Dr. Rawat Kau said we are still like brothers with ideologically different planks. It may be recalled that Dr. Umesh Kumar Kau defeated former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in 2012 and changed Congress in 2016 joining BJP alongwith 9 other MLAs. Though the media tried to dig him speak against his friend Dr. Rawat Umesh Sharma Kau tried his best not to get provocative simply saying that whatever was accepted to Almighty ultimately happened and, Dr. Rawat joined Congress but not me. He however, said that before I could talk to Dr Rawat further there was news on TV about his being expelled from party and his intention of joining Congress.
