The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has allocated departments to all the eight ministers keeping jumbo size departments with him as well.
As per the list released by Uttarakhand government while the chief minister will look after 21 departments like council of ministers, personel and vigilance, secretariat administration, general administration, planning, State Wealth, Information, home department, Revenue, Industrial development and mining, labour, Industrial development, information and science technology, Water, energy, Ayush and Ayush Education, Panchayati Rajya, Tourism, irrigation n small irrigation etc.
The former cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj, who was in the race for chief minister’s chair, not once but twice, has been allocated Public Works department as before including Punchayati Rajya, Rural development, culture, religion, Tourism and water management. The third time cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal has been made rid of the agriculture ministry, which was with him last time.
He has been allocated Forest, languages, election and technical education. Ganesh Joshi has been alloted Agriculture and Agriculture Welfare, with not so important Soldiers Welfare and rural ( village) development departments. The only woman minister in the council of ministers, Rekha Arya repeated this time as well again got Women Empowerment and child welfare, including civil supplies, food and consumer affairs with sports and youth development.
The former speaker sworn in for the first time Prem Chandra Aggrawal got Urban Development, housing, legislative and parliamentary affairs, population, Agriculture n agriculture development/ Welfare n Rehabilitation. Dhan Singh Rawat got school education basic and middle, Sanskrit education, cooperative, higher education, medical health and medical education,
Chandan Ram Dass got social and minority welfare/ development, Transport, small and mediam industries, whereas the son of former CM, Uttarakhand Vijay Bahuguna n grandson of UP CM. H. N. Bahuguna, Saurabh Bahuguna has been allocated animal husbandry, milk development, fisheries, sugar industries and sugar development, protocol, skill development and service planning etc.
Being a first timer he has been allocated not so important departments.
