Delhi Premier League trophy goes to CISF but lost to Garhwal Heroes in the final compitition

This year the Central Industrial Security Force Protectors ( soccer team) is the prestigious Delhi league champion by securing maximum points though it lost by 1-0 in the last and final match held at Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi unambiguously meaning that the previous three times champion Garhwal Heroes are still the champions. This means that not only is the defending champions Garhwal Heroes the runners up but has also retained their lost prestige a day before. The performance of Garhwal Heroes has been outstanding during the compitition for the final cup during the last several months, finally becoming the runners up proudly though losing the champions title but defeating the CISF Protectors by 1-0 in the final match. The credit goes to the Garhwal Heroes Mambhakupaar Malgiyang who scored the goal in the final match despite the title going to CISF protectors. The newly elevated deputy chief minister Pravesh Verma distributed the awards to the winning team as well as to the runner up and others. In order to enhance the moral and prestige of the Delhi league title winner CISF protectors, hundreds of jawans of the force were present in their uniform hailing the CISF teammates but the team couldn’t come true to their expectation. In the beginning as the match commenced the game was on a low pitch and the Garhwal Heroes couldn’t generate themselves but gradually they geared themselves up and kept total control on the CISF. The Heroes through their spirited game kept control over the CISF badly demoralising them but couldn’t hit at the goalpost with dexterity. Despite their best efforts the Garhwal Heroes Mambhakupaar Malgiyang, Ishaan Boshak, Piyush Bhandari and Vansh Vadaan couldn’t take the advantage of several good opportunities to goal. After half time changing the sides the Garhwal Heroes maintained its attacking mode in full spirits and determination finally Mambhakupaar of Garhwal Heroes hitting the goal making everyone in the stadium favouring Garhwal Heroes jubilant. The CISF goalkeeper couldn’t stop the powerful shot of Mambhakupaar putting the CISF players into dizziness. This is how though losing the title the brilliant Garhwal Heroes have defeated in the finals the champions the league. Indeed sounds intriguing.

It may be recalled that CISF Protectors won the title by scoring 47 points in 22 matches, while Garhwal Heroes scored 44 points in the same number of matches. Garhwal Heroes had to be content with being the runner-up.

In the last match of the Delhi Premier League, Garhwal Heroes defeated CISF by one goal on Monday. Manwa’s goal in the second half helped Garhwal Heroes register a win, but their defeat against Royal Rangers on March 22 proved costly.
