The organising secretary of Uttarakhand whose name was allegedly mentioned with another leader as VIP in the audio tape and leaked in social media and press Ajay Singh nominated as BJP general secretary of Rajasthan BJP
The BJP’s national general secretary Arun Singh has appointed Ajay Singh, the Organising secretary of Uttarakhand Pradesh as the General Secretary ( Organisation) of Rajasthan Pradesh Bhartiya Janata Party.
In an appointment letter sent to Ajay Singh on 1 st June, 2026 the BJP general secretary Arun Singh has stated that the national president of the saffron party Nitin Navin has directed him to appoint Ajay Singh as the general secretary (Organisation) of Rajasthan Pradesh Bhartiya Janata Party.
Sounds astonishing that a person who had been the organising secretary of Uttarakhand BJP for such a long time has been appointed the general secretary of Rajasthan after the national president’s visit at Dehradun and participation in the BJP’s high level core committee meeting.
It may be recalled that the name of Ajay Singh has also appeared with the national BJP VP and Uttarakhand Incharge of BJP Uttarakhand Dushyant Gautam as the supposed VIPs in the Ankita Bhandari case allegedly demanding the special service though nothing has been proved in this regard nor any credible evidence found, except the reference of the VIP service in the chat of Ankita Bhandari to her friend before being killed in September 19 , 2022.
These two names of the BJP leaders as VIPs were disclosed on an audio recording by Urmila Sanvar actress, then in BJP while speaking to her ex husband Suresh ex MLA Haridwar who had named both of them while telephonically conversing with the former.
This startling revelation had raised several eyebrows in the political corridors of BJP and Congress and social media full of these news bringing bad name to the saffron party.
After these two names had appeared in the audio in social media and TV channels, the Uttarakhand chief incharge of BJP Dushyant Gautam had approached the Delhi High Court requesting the court to issue directives to all the news channels to stop mentioning his name as VIP and withdrawal of all the objectionable news and material telecast against him etc without any proof.
The court had also directed not to name him unless proved by a credible evidence.
But it seems that now the anger has fallen on Ajay Singh instead of Dushyant Gautam who is still active in every Uttarakhand meeting and with all the senior leaders including greeting with bouquet the national president of the BJP Nitin Nabin at Dehradun on the day of his visit and participation in the saffron party high level core committee meetings.
However, his hoardings were taken out and not fixed on any location nor photo used with the national BJP president fearing retaliation of protests from the electorates in Dehradun etc.
There are reliable reports that this decision to send Ajay Singh to Rajasthan as general secretary ( organisation) though this is a promotion of a sort- was taken after consistent discussion among leaders and senior party workers with the national BJP president Nitin Nabin objecting to his continuance as the Uttarakhand BJP organising secretary after his name erupted in Ankita Bhandari case as the VIP. The BJP top leadership is not ready to take any risk of losing votes in view the fast approaching Uttarakhand Assembly elections. There are also unconfirmed reports that in the near future Dushyant Gautam may also be divested of his Uttarakhand Inchargeship of the BJP after his continuous opposition in Uttarakhand tooth and nail.
