Congress declares its candidates from 3 Delhi seats. Names of J.P. Agrawal, Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj announced
The Congress party has released the names of the candidates from three Delhi seats given to them under the seat adjustments formula under INDIA with AAP contesting on four seats. The Aam Admi Party has been very active in declaring its candidates on the four Delhi seats quite before, thus giving them enough time to campaign and counter the ruling BJP candidates contesting on all the seven seats. The four candidates declared by AAP ruling in Delhi since 2013 are Malviya Nagar sitting MLA Somnath Bhartiya from New Delhi, former Congress MP, now in AAP Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi , Kuldeep Kumar from East Delhi and Sahi Ram ( Pehalwan) from South Delhi.
The Congress candidates from three Delhi parliamentary constituencies are J.P. Aggrawal from Chandni Chowk, Kanahiya Kumar, former student leader of JNU from North East Delhi and former BJP MP from Outer Delhi now in Congress namely Udit Raj.
Kanhaiya Kumar had earlier contested from Begusarai in 2019 though lost as CPI candidate.
This time he will give a credible fight to the BJP singer turned MP Manoj Tiwari who had been the MP from here twice. There is anti incumbency in this constituency this time and extremely vociferous and a good speaker Kanaiya Kumar will not only woo youth voters but also the working class electorates including the voters of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who are in large numbers in this constituency including the sizeable chunk of minority voters.
The BJP has been winning the parliamentary elections from Delhi since the last decade though it has lost at the hands of AAP since 2013 in Delhi Assembly elections.
According to news analysts after Arvind Kejrival’s being jailed and Sanjay Singh now out of jail after six months with Manish Sisodia, former deputy CM behind bars for the last more than a year, in the liquor policy related scam termed as a political vendetta by ruling BJP, the AAM ADMI PARTY is now solely dependent on their Delhi ministers Atishi Maarlena, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Gopal Rai who are solidly behind their leader including Sanjay Singh who is leaving no stone unturned to campaign for party candidates.
However, the party is allegedly running short of resources and demoralised too to a great extent but sources reveal that it is bound to gain politically in the elections.
