Chief secretary Ukhand, Radha Raturi writes to union home secretary to immediately dispatch four companies to riot affected area of Haldwani
The chief secretary of Uttarakhand Radha Raturi has urged the central government to sent enough paramilitary force to Haldwani the strife torn city of Nainital district where two days ago havoc was let lose by anti social elements who not only damaged and burnt a police station and over hundred vehicles they have also injured more than fifty policemen and the municipal employees who had gone to Malik Ka Bagicha locality in Banbhoolpura. In a letter written to the home secretary, government of India , New Delhi the chief secretary of Uttarakhand government has urged him for sending four additional companies of paramilitary forces to maintain peace and law and order in Malik Ka Bagicha area in Haldwani where some disgruntled and anti social elements have deliberately disturbed peace and law and order when the police and the municipal officers’ team had gone there the other day to downsize the illegal structures at the above locality. The police and municipal staff were carrying out the court’s order. In view of this and to maintain peace and law and order, the home secretary may kindly dispatch four additional companies of paramilitary forces to affected area through the senior superintendent of police, Nainital on extreme priority basis urged the chief secretary to the Union Home secretary.
According to a brief post on social media platform X by the CM’s office, Uttarakhand – the chief secretary of Uttarakhand Radha Raturi has urged the home secretary, ministry of home affairs to dispatch 04 additional para military companies to Banphulpura area for immediate duty.
