Serious brainstorming on the conservation of Ganga and Himalayan glaciers . Important Seminar organized at Uttarakhand Bhawan, New Delhi.

An important seminar on the topic “Conservation of Ganga and Himalayan Glaciers” was organised at Uttarakhand Bhawan, New Delhi, in which intellectuals, social workers and legal experts from different parts of the country participated.
Retired Justice Shri Rajesh Tandon, former Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Shri Alok Sinha, senior leader of Uttarakhand Legislative Party and MLA Shri Kishore Upadhyay, Lok Janshakti Party spokesperson Shri A.K. Bajpai, former Secretary of the Government of India Shri Harish Sharma and Supreme Court Advocate Shri Himanshu Upadhyay participated in the programme and expressed their views.

Expressing deep concern over the rapid melting of Himalayan glaciers, the speakers stated that if effective steps are not taken in time, the flow of Mother Ganga could be seriously threatened within the next 25 years. They stated that the continued erosion of glaciers is not only an environmental crisis, but also a national issue involving the faith, lives, and future of millions of people.

Speakers emphasized that protecting the Ganga and the Himalayas is not just a government responsibility, but a moral obligation of every citizen. This crisis can only be resolved through public awareness, policymaking, and concerted environmental efforts. The meeting also decided to launch a comprehensive public awareness campaign on this important issue, and the next event will be held in Dehradun on May 25, 2026, ensuring participation from various sections of society.

All the dignitaries present resolved that continuous efforts will be made for the conservation of Ganga and Himalayas, so that the coming generations can get the blessing of safe environment and clean Ganga.
