After terror threat EMail Delhi and Uttarakhand on high alert mode

New Delhi/Dehradun, 27 June 2026

Security agencies in Delhi and Uttarakhand have been put on full alert after receiving a threatening email that claimed major temples, government offices, railway stations and police establishments in both states would be targeted.

According to sources, the email specifically mentioned several prominent temples, government buildings, railway stations and police installations in Delhi and Uttarakhand. It also named some political leaders, which has further heightened concern among intelligence agencies. Following the threat, central and state intelligence agencies issued a security alert for both regions.

After the alert was issued, Delhi Police, Uttarakhand Police and central intelligence agencies began reviewing security arrangements in sensitive areas. Additional police forces have been deployed at religious places, government buildings, railway stations and other crowded locations. Surveillance of suspicious activities has been intensified.

Officials said these are precautionary measures and that security has been strengthened to deal with any potential threat. The general public has also been urged to remain vigilant and to immediately inform police about any suspicious object or person.
