After Prime minister’s two massive public meetings in Garhwal and Kumaon division, Harish Rawat invites Priyanka Gandhi to visit Srinagar, Garhwal and Almora at the earliest
After prime minister Narendra Modi’s recent public meeting in Haldwani, Kumaon division in Nainital district with massive presence of thousands of electorates, in which prime minister declared and inaugurated various schemes n projects worth Rs. 17500 crores, after his last month’s Dehradun rally with inauguration of various projects worth Rs 18000 crores, totalling to nearly 36000 crores, enticing tremendous crowd, the former chief minister n chairman of the Uttarakhand election campaign committee Harish Rawat has invited the Nehru Gandhi family scion n general secretary of Congress party Priyanka Gandhi to Uttarakhand’s Garhwal and Kumaon areas especially Srinagar and Almora townships to address massive public meetings.
In his series of tweets enthusiastic with full of energy at the age of 73, former Uttarakhand CM who is almost participating in various protests and public meetings/ rallies on daily basis extensively campaigning for Congress tweeted under the title”, I AM A GIRL, I CAN FIGHT, he wrote : The throat from which the unique discourse symbolising Women Power has come out, the people of Uttarakhand are extremely curious n anxious to hear that discourse very interestingly.
Our Garhwali and Kumaoni culture n people are keenly desirous of cordially inviting the affectionate daughter of Uttarakhand himalayas, the grand daughter of Indira Gandhi to Uttarakhand. We are desirous of watching the symbol of Women power from close quarter indicating towards Priyanka Gandhi and subsequently enlighten the symbol of true women power in Indian and the world represented by her.
Extending his invitation he further writes : Priyankaji, I in my capacity as the former Uttarakhand CM, on behalf of entire Garhwal and Kumaon invite you to visit Srinagar, Garhwal and Almora, Kumaon. Please accept our cordial invitation and energise us during this election phase for the safety and security of Uttarakhand n empowering its people wrote Harish Rawat in his social media post on his twitter handle.

It may be recalled that the code of conduct and date of Uttarakhand elections are likely to be announced this or next week and the state election campaign has gained momentum with Prime minister Narendra Modi, holding two massive public meetings, including union home minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda addressing several meetings in the himalayan state with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami having made more than one thousand announcements worth hundreds of crores n PM having inaugurated over ambitious projects worth Rs 36000 crores in just a months’ time.
As far as Uttarakhand Congress is concerned its national leader Rahul Gandhi has so far addressed a single meeting at Dehradun.
There have been tremendous demand amongst Congress leaders and workers for the meetings of Priyanka Gandhi say reliable sources, hence Harish Rawat’s request to Priyanka Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Harish Rawat has also been named as the key n star campaigner for Punjab by Congress high command obviously meaning that Rawat will have to spare several days for Punjab election campaigning as well during Uttarakhand elections if the dates of Punjab collide with Uttarakhand affecting the Congress campaign in Uttarakhand.
