After Chattisgarh CM already declared, MP legislature party meeting to be held today to elect a new CM. No clue about Rajasthan
While BJP high command is still finding it difficult to arrive at the definite decision to announce the names of chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh due to tremendous internal squabbles there are reports that in Madhya Pradesh the meeting of the Legislature party has been convened on Monday evening to elect its new Chief Minister as already happened yesterday in Chattisgarh where the prime minister Narendra Modi has honoured the tribal community, the second largest dominant community in Chattisgarh that had voted en masse to the saffron party this time.
According to reliable sources on Sunday while there had been discussion the whole day on the finalisation of the names of prospective CMs of Rajasthan, MP and Chattisgarh, only the name of the latter was finalised while no unanimous decision could be arrived at, on the names of CMs of the two states.
However, there are reports that the high command of BJP has finally decided on the names of prospective CMs of Rajasthan and MP and can be declared today.
The observers of both the states after taking directives/ instructions from the central High command will reach these two states and convene the legislature party meeting to arrive at the consensus candidates of both the states where former CM Vasundhara Raje and Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan are the greatest obstacles wanting themselves to be repeated this time as well with BJP high command preferring to give opportunity to fresh and young faces.
While, the legislature party meetings are slated to take place in the evening there are reports that all the MLAs have been invited for the lunch hour meeting to watch their presence and assess their preferences.
In the meeting of legislature party of MP lawmakers, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter, OBC chief K. Lakshman and secretary national Asha Lakda will also be present. In the context of MP leadership the names of former CM and BJP heavy weights Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan, union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narendra Tomar and Prahalad Patel are doing the rounds in the race for the top post .
On the other hand while there is no news about the legislature party meeting in Rajasthan the observers of Rajasthan include union defence minister Rajnath Singh, Vinod Tawde, and, Saroj Pandey who had been to Rajasthan, meeting saffron party MLAs number of times.
So far no name has been selected for the next CM as there are tremendous bottlenecks here too with Vasundhara Raje rushing to national capital two days, to stake her claim for the top post of the state. However according to sources there are chances of a new face emerging out for Rajasthan this time as the BJP high command seems to be little interested to oblige the former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia for her adulterated behaviour in the recent past and currently as well having good relationship with Ashok Gehlot and going against the high command silently. There are also news of ten new MLAs having met her on Sunday. This is the second meeting of MLAs with Vasundhara Raje in Rajasthan after the declaration of results. Despite all these hectic developments there, are no reports of any Legislature party being convened till yet in Rajasthan.
