Home minister Amit Shah targets Harish Rawat n appeals to people to vote BJP at Rudraprayag
While the chief election strategist of Congress Harish Rawat was busy filing nomination from Lalkuan and his Uttarakhand Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal from Srinagar, Garhwal constituency at Pauri DM’s office, the Union Minister Amit Shah was challenging Congress party and criticising former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat for doing nothing and if at all he has executed various developmental projects during his tenure than he should give the detailed account of these achievements.
Mentioning the name of Congress leader Harish Rawat in his speech at Rudraprayag accusing him of leading and giving a corruption ridden government in Uttarakhand during his tenure, union home minister said that the BJP government led by a youthful chief minister has taken the state on a massive developmental path.
Union home minister Amit Shah was addressing people at Rudraprayag in his Jan Samvad programme where he met people and also personally distributed pamphlets of the saffron party eliciting support, highlighting the achievements of the BJP government in the state.
Ridiculing and pinching Congress leader Harish Rawat the home minister said that after so much of search for his constituency changing one after another, he has finally succeeded in getting an assembly constituency. Now it is too much. His time is gone and the time of a youthful chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has arrived.
The Union home minister was today addressing the electorates of Tharali assembly constituency in Chamoli district from Rudraprayag and several other blocks from a lodge.
The home minister concentrated his attack on Harish Rawat than on the Congress party asking that Harish Rawat should tell as to how much of infrastructural development has taken place during his tenure as CM? He should give the detailed account of the same He added. He added that Rawat has run the government of money order earning popularity and credit by giving the projects to people of his favour thus dividing people in the name of development.
Home minister Amit Shah said that while the Congress government under his charge promoted corruption in the state, the BJP government has taken the state to new developmental heights in Uttarakhand.
Appealing the people of the state to whole heartedly support the saffron party Amit Shah thanked countrymen for supporting BJP in 2014, 2017 and 2019.
He appealed the people to outrightly and whole heartedly support BJP under the dynamic leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the overall development of Uttarakhand as at the centre prime minister Narendra Modi is fully determined to take Uttarakhand to new developmental heights.
He pledged to develop the tourist industry and religious tourism in Uttarakhand on a large scale including changing the Badrinath shrine on a wide scale in terms of its overall development investing Rs 500 crores after the massive development of Kedarnath Dham including the overambitious all weather road project in Uttarakhand.
While Union minister Amit Shah will campaign in Garhwal Mandal tomorrow as well, the national president of BJP J. P. Nadda will tour the Kumoan region extensively.
It may be recalled that while the prime minister Narendra Modi held two massively attended meetings in Uttarakhand at Dehradun and Haldwani announcing projects worth rupees 37 thousand crores of rupees, including opening of medical colleges and AIIMS in the Kumaon region with Almora Medical College also granted recognition as the 4 th Medical college of Uttarakhand, the Union home minister Amit Shah and national BJP chief J. P. Nadda are in Uttarakhand covering Garhwal and Kumaon regions having been in Chamoli, Kumaon and Dehradun earlier as well whereas from Congress party’s side there had been a single meeting of Rahul Gandhi at Dehradun parade ground. The two public meetings earlier fixed for 9 th January had to be cancelled due to the Covid and Omicron pandemic.
So far on the campaigning side the saffron party seems to be on on the upper hand with Congress lagging far behind except its chief election strategist Harish Rawat doing his best to maintain the election tempo.
It is true that the contribution of Harish Rawat for Uttarakhand is a big zero. He has pains for people of Uttarakhand and he minted money by being in politics. He did not resign from his ministerial post in centre when Mulayam fired on the the Uttarakhandies in Rampurctiraya. A selfish bug. अमित Shah is right. Harish Rawat should draw a list of his achievements in UK.
