There are speculations that some BJP leaders now turned rebel after not getting tickets in the saffron party are seriously thinking of turning hostile joining Congress party in a day or two.
On the other hand the Congress party has also withheld its list of candidate for a day or two to asses the new likely BJP entrants in Congress after having been deprived of tickets.
Though the names of the possible saffron hostiles have not been confirmed but after the expulsion of Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, the name of Om Gopal Rawat, former BJP MLA feeling badly infuriated after being denied ticket from Narendra Nagar is seriously considering joining Congress party after getting clearance from his supporters and friends.
According to some reliable sources he has finally made up his mind to join Congress in order to get the party ticket contesting against the Uttarakhand agriculture minister and two term MLA Subodh Uniyal.
Ten BJP lawmakers have been denied tickets and majority of them are badly exasperated with some of them thinking of contesting independently.
It may be recalled that former MLA from Narendra Nagar Om Gopal Rawat was a strong contender for ticket against Subodh Uniyal and had in one of the programmes said that in case he does not get a BJP ticket he will contest as independent at all costs. This announcement was made by him in a public meeting at Narendra Nagar last month. In a massive public meeting at Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal in a public contact programme on 21 st December Om Gopal Rawat had sought permission from his hundreds of supporters to contest the election from Narendra Nagar if he does not get the BJP ticket.
Now, after being sidelined completely despite his being in BJP since 2002 except for a small tenure as independent in between, Om Gopal Rawat, a leader of the masses having secured more than 20000 votes when he fought as an independent though lost against Subodh Uniyal , has now formally decided to join Congress n fight against the minister of Agriculture, Uttarakhand Subodh Uniyal reveal sources.
Om Gopal Rawat was the BJP MLA in 2012 n had turned hostile in 2016 contesting as independent when Subodh Uniyal was given the BJP ticket who won by 21000 votes after defecting from Congress. Gopal Rawat had rejoined the saffron party in March 27, 2019 with hundreds of his supporters.
However, this time he expected the BJP ticket but heavy weight Subodh Uniyal got the ticket this time as well.
Exasperated Om Gopal now intends to join Congress reveal sources hoping to get the ticket, being a mass leader having secured 20000 votes as BJP rebel in 2016.

A month ago in a massive public meeting he had already declared that he would be contesting the election from Narendra Nagar if not given the BJP ticket as independent for which he sought a cumulative consent from the people present in the congregation at Narendra Nagar last month.
It may be recalled that Agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal is quite a popular figure in Uttarakhand and has deep roots in Narendra Nagar having cine true to the people’s expectations.
Meanwhile, in Yamunotri constituency in Uttarkashi tremendous opposition is brewing up against its MLA Kedar Singh Rawat with BJP workers protesting against the two term sitting lawmaker getting ticket this time.
