Uttarakhand shed maximum blood for the nation : Rahul Gandhi

The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that Uttarakhand has shed maximum blood for the country by its bravehearts working in Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.

He said that the inhabitants of Uttarakhand should instead of saying that their sons and daughters are serving the country by way of working in defence Forces say that Uttarakhand has shed maximum blood for the country as their supreme sacrifices to protect the nation has been maximum.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi was addressing a massive Vijay Diwas Rally at Dehradun Parade ground on 16 th December to commemorate the victory over Pakistan in Bangladesh war in 1971 when her grand mother, the then prime minister of India whom the then opposition leader of Bhartiya Janasangh Atal Bihari Vajpayee has compared with Goddess Durga, lauding her dynamic leadership dividing Pakistan by creating a new Nation called Bangladesh.

Terming the historic victory of India over Pakistan in 1971 as the victory at the behest of entire countrymen not giving credit to politicians or government machinery, Rahul Gandhi said that the consolidated and strong unity displayed by countrymen across caste, community n ideologies and our defence forces were the main force that led to India winning over Pakistan.

Kindly recall that the prime minister Narendra Modi had visited Dehradun on 4 th December to inaugurate various projects worth Rs 18000 crores and had also addressed a massive rally. The PM had so far visited Uttarakhand four times, three visits being at Kedarnath and one at Dehradun. The Congress leaders had termed the PM’s,rally as flop. However, today’s was Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to Dehradun. Let’s see what comments come from BJP camp about the attendance of the people in Rahul’s parade ground rally?
