Congress president Rahul Gandhi was addressing a massive Vijay Diwas Rally at Dehradun Parade ground on 16 th December to commemorate the victory over Pakistan in Bangladesh war in 1971 when her grand mother, the then prime minister of India whom the then opposition leader of Bhartiya Janasangh Atal Bihari Vajpayee has compared with Goddess Durga, lauding her dynamic leadership dividing Pakistan by creating a new Nation called Bangladesh.

The PM had so far visited Uttarakhand four times, three visits being at Kedarnath and one at Dehradun. The Congress leaders had termed the PM’s,rally as flop.
