Captain Amrinder Singh resigns from Congress, labelling charges against Harish Rawat and Sidhu in his 7 page letter to Sonia Gandhi
The Congress party has suffered a huge setback after its former chief minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh has formally resigned from Congress party shooting a seven page letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and declaring that he is forming a new political party known as ” Lok Congress party”, which will contest on all the 117 seats in the ensuing assembly elections and is waiting for the final decision of the election Commission in this regard.
In the letter written to Congress’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi Captain Amrinder Singh has catagorically accused the Punjab Congress president Navjyot Singh Sidhu as well as the former Punjab incharge n general secretary Harish Rawat, pledging to defeat Sidhu and terming Rawat as an untrustworthy politician.
He pledged to avenge his insult by way of ensuring that Navjyot Singh Sidhu is defeated hands down from wherever he contests and Congress as well, making absolutely clear that his party will contest on all the 117 assembly seats subject to adjustments or future political alignments with other parties.
Badly annoyed and exasperated by his insult in Congress, Captain Amrinder Singh who successfully ruled Punjab for 9 n a half years, unambiguously said that Sidhu has become famous on account of his criticism of the previous Punjab government and its chief minister ( me) of baseless and fabricated charges on the patronage of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. He criticised Harish Rawat, holding him responsible for possessing ill will against him and manipulating the entire episode finally compelling him to leave Congress.
He wrote that Harish Rawat is a most untrustworthy politician.
It may be recalled that after being removed as the chief minister of Punjab highly antagonistic against Rahul and Priyanka Captain Amrinder Singh had met the Union home minister Amit Shah raising speculations that he may join the BJP but after consulting his trusted political friends and colleagues, he finally decided to form his own regional party Lok Congress. Captain Singh while speaking to the media said that lots of Congressmen, including Punjab lawmakers are likely to join him who are waiting for the right moment and his call.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Punjab chief minister Charanjeet Singh Channi, state party chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu and observer Punjab Harish Choudhary met Harish Rawat at Dehradun and visited Kedarnath shrine via helicopter to seek the blessings of Lord Kedar. Former Punjab incharge and general secretary AICC Harish Rawat said I had already said that all is, well in Punjab and the Congress party will win there and form the Congress government. The entire Rawat family, his daughters, wife n grandchildren posed for photographs with the Punjab CM, Sidhu and other dignitaries.

Come whatever, but Harish Rawat has run down the image of congress and his own by hatching plots against one of the strongest & established congress Chief Minister Capt Amerinder Singh. This is called ‘विनाश काले विपरीत बुद्धी’.
Sidhu is not a matured politician. This will be proved in forth coming election.
Harish Rawat is facing similar problems in Uttarakhand where he has antagonized former state congress president Pritam Singh and many others.
