Former CM faces the wrath of priests against his decision to establish Devsthanam Board at Kedarnath. Was sent back amid slogans of Go back, Go back etc
The former chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat confronted Rawat Go Back, Go Back and down with Trivendra Singh Rawat slogans by good number of priests of Kedarnath when he visited the temple to pay his obeisance. Earlier the state chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had also visited Kedarnath Dham few days ago and had to confront the same protests.
The priests of Kedarnath Dham and their organisation blocked the way to Kedarnath temple and gheraoed the former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat raising slogans against him and finally compelling him and the mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal Gama to return back while they were inspecting the various ongoing projects.
The highly exasperated Priests in large numbers raised slogans like Uttarakhand ke chor vapas jaao vapas jaao, go back, go back, ” Rozi Roti de na sake Jo vo sarkaar nikammi hai etc.
It may be recalled that the priests’ community of Uttarakhand especially the four shrines, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri are badly annoyed and angered due to the establishment of the Devsthanam Board to control the working of the above portals via government’s intervention and the priests are deadly against this decision.
After the change of Trivendra Singh Rawat as CM, it is being felt that the BJP high command was also annoyed with TSR for this decision and the priests had heaved a high relief, thinking that now the new government will revoke this decision.
When Pushkar Singh Dhami took charge as the 11 th CM of Uttarakhand replacing Tirath Singh Rawat, he had assured the powerful priests community especially those controlling these four religious shrines that the Devsthanam Board’s decision have been averted, but it wasn’t implemented time date.
Hence the priests were badly annoyed and frustrated. Today’s massive opposition of the former CM TSR by the priests in Kedarnath Dham vicinity has lowered the image of the former CM and the BJP as prime Minister Narendra Modi visit is scheduled for November 5 at Kedarnath to inaugurate the Samadhi of Aadi Shakaracharya.
However in a tweet former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has not referred anything about the protest confronted by him but wrote with pictures : Wished everyone’s well being and paid obeisance to Lord Kedar and sought his blessings. In his earlier tweet he wrote : God a fortunate ocassion to step on the land of Kedarpuri. My wish is that shortly the innovation n construction works in glorious Kedarpuri will soon be completed and crores of countrymen and from outside will be benefited with the darshan of Lord Kedar tweeted former CM, Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat.
Not fair in the part of public. Did they ever do it in others’ time. No one was perfect ever. This was surely an instigated move. And we can guess who can do that.
True sir, but it ultimately goes against them in the election year.
We can’t forget how an artist cum teacher was dragged out, humiliated & kept behind the bar when she pleaded in common people’s court ‘MKHIYA’s DARBAR’. Everything goes in a cycle.
