4 Killed, 2 Injured as Car Plunges into Gorge in Almora’s Lamgara Area

A horrific road accident in Uttarakhand’s Almora district has claimed four lives, while two others were injured after a car fell into a deep gorge in the Lamgara region. The accident has shattered four families.

According to the information available so far, the car suddenly went out of control on the Chaykhan–Baliya Begania motor road in Lamgara area and plunged into a deep gorge. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely wrecked. Passersby immediately informed the police.

Details of the deceased:
1. Rajendra Singh Bilwal, son of Narayan Singh, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 40 years.
2. Jagdish Singh, son of Lachham Singh, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 35 years.
3. Lachham Singh, son of Pratap Singh, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 56 years.
4. Paan Singh, son of Bishan Singh, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 55 years.

Details of the injured:
1. Gopal Singh, son of Kheem Singh, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 45 years.
2. Sachin Singh Bilwal, son of Rajendra Singh Bilwal, resident of village Baliya, Lamgara Police Station, Almora, aged 18 years.

Police teams reached the spot and began rescue operations. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the accident is underway.
