The film “Kandali”: An inspiring cinematic endeavor

Kandali is a highly anticipated feature film produced by VSM and former Air Vice Marshal Shri Rajesh Bhandari.
The film is directed by writer and director Shri Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat having a chequered film career of more than four decades for producing a good number of films in South Film industry including his Garhwali Movie Baulya Kaka becoming a block buster and Marchcha ready for release.
The film is co-directed by Mr. Neeraj Mishra and Mr. Pankaj Mishra. Prashant plays the lead role and Smriti Rawat plays the female lead.
Other prominent actors in the film include Madhu Rawat, Kusum Chauhan, Dr. Kusum Bhatt, Harish Gairola, Paramendra Rawat, Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat, Meena, Yashoda Joshi, Shivdayal Mamgai, Jaspal Singh Rana, Sunil Negi (journalist), Padmashree Kalyan Singh Rawat, Advocate Jagmohan Singh Negi, Advocate Shri Uniyal, Rakesh Bhandari, Kiran, and Rajpal.
Jiva Rawat makes an impressive appearance as a child artist. Furthermore, you yourself will appear in a special role in the film.
The film’s production manager was Rajpal Singh Rawat. Simran Rawat handled the makeup, while Vijay Sowar was the Director of Photography (DOP) and Vicky was his assistant. The technical equipment used in the shooting was provided by Balaji Productions. Rajneesh Saini handled the drone operations for the aerial shots.
According to director Shri Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat, one of the film’s greatest achievements was successfully completing the entire shooting schedule in just 14 days, with a crew of approximately 80 actors and technicians. Successfully completing such a large-scale shoot in such a limited time is a testament to the dedicated work ethic, discipline, and collective effort of the entire team.
“Kandali” is not just a film, but a meaningful effort to present Uttarakhand’s cultural sensibilities, human relationships, and social concerns on the big screen. This film will engage audiences with thought and empathy, while also providing entertainment.
