A neurological patient climbs the 7 th floor roof top and threatens to commit suicide at AIIMS Rishikesh
An extremely anxious and pathetic situation occured at AIIMS Rishikesh when at 11 AM on Wednesday an anxious patient of Neurological department climbed the 6 th floor top roof of the AIIM’s Building and came at the border shoutingly threatening to commit Suicide.
There was panic all around with hundreds of people gathering on the ground including the security officers and guards requesting the patient not to jump downwards assuring him of heeding to whatever he is asking for.
While there was tremendous anxiety and panic with every head and eyes pointed towards the roof with people making his videos , the intelligent security guards involved the man into discussion consuming some time.
While the patient and the security guards were interacting with the latter agreeing to accept whatever his demands were but also requesting him not to commit Suicide , two relatives of the neurological department climbed the roof and slowly reached near the patient interacting with the security staff catching hold of him with a strong grip and pushing backwards thus saving a life of a patient with everyone relieved especially the AIIMS security staff and the management.
After this incident the the PRO of the AIIMS Mr. Mohanty the patient had come to AIIMS brought by his relatives with some neurological problems.
The parents / relatives of the patient were in a queue for making registration slip but the patient was against seeking treatment.
Being under depression the patient who was held by hand by his relatives forcibly went to the sixth floor roof of the neurological building of AIIMS by breaking the lock and threatened to commute suicide.
It was then that the intelligent security staff kept him involved in the interaction urging him not to commit suicide .
In the meanwhile the family members of the patient clandestinely and gently came near him from the back and pushed him backwards thus saving his life and relieving everyone of this drama.
