The Garhwali movie produced under the banner of Jodha Films by producer Sanjay Joshi and co producer Mr. Dhar under the dexterous direction of the first director of Uttarakhandi films Susheela Rawat which did a fabulous business drawing house full in majority of the theatres of Garhwal Uttarakhand, and twelve theatres of Delhi and NCR including in Mumbai has been chosen to be exhibited in Delhi in ” International Film festival, Delhi ” starting from 25 th March to 31 March , 2026 with the inaugural event taking place in Bharat Mandapam in the pivotal presence of renowned Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee, former CBFC chairperson and renowned actress Sharmila Tagore , renowned director producer Imtiaz Ali and several other dignitaries of the celluloid world.
The opening ceremony of this film festival will be hosted by the significant and popular moderator, a highly competent anchor and versatile actor Annu Kapoor and Nirmat Kapoor.
The regional Garhwali movie Ghangtaul, ( Confusion) will be screened at PVR Pacific Mall, in Sector 21 Dwarka at 9.00 Am onwards on 6 th April, 2026.
The entire starcast of the film and its director, producers and other crew members will be present on this ocassion.
This is for the very first time in Delhi Film festival ( IFFD) that a Garhwali movie Ghangtaul has been included among the 125 to 140 movies , though earlier the “Subhero Gham” produced and directed by Urmila Negi was screened in Canada film festival two years ago after being ranked as number one movie among the regional films for its outstanding script and fabulous presentation.
The Garhwali film “Ghangtaul” has drawn tremendous crowd in Delhi , Dehradun, Rishikesh and NCR including Mumbai with the audience lauding the movie to the hilt with mesmerising music, melodious songs and serene beautiful locations of Uttarkashi where the major part of movie was shot.
The movie gives a social message on repatriation of the people of plains to the hills and their subsequent contribution in the development of the state which unfortunately has been the victim of mass exodus of its people to cities, towns and metropolises during the past twenty five years for want of job and health avenues including quality education to their children.
The producers of the movie under the banner of Jodha films Sanjay Joshi , Mr. Dhar and its efficient and highly proficient director Sushila Rawat deserve to be complimented for their dedication and hard work in making this movie and contributing in sending across a message for repatriation to the villages and also by way of promoting and preserving the Uttarakhand’s healthy legacy, traditions, old culture, and above all ethical values.
