Furnish the account of the donations received asks the Uttarakhand High Court from Mohammed Deepak

The case of Mohammed Deepak, a Gym owner of Kotdwar has taken a curious turn when the Uttarakhand High Court judge has directed him to give the total account of the donation being received by him from various quarters after the prosecution counsel brought this fact to the notice of the judge. The donation is being given to Deepak after he had publicly complained that the membership of his Gym has considerably come down after this incident as the members of the gym has asked their earlier deposits back, becoming difficult to survive and look after his family.

Actually , Deepak Mohammed had approached the Uttarakhand High court against the registration of the FIR by Kotdwar police against him on the complaint of one of the Bajrang Dal activists urging to quash it and terming the FIR as illegal.

According to the news reports few days ago a group of Bajrang Dal activists had gone to a shop in Kotdwar of one Muslim known as Baba Garments / school uniform established for the last several years.

The group of Bajrang Dal activists have approached the shop owner a senior citizen and pressurised him to change the name of the shop from BABA to something else as BABA means the pronounciation of their spiritual guru or deity to which they have serious objections.

While the argument was going on and the senior citizen was in a state of complete panic , Mohammed Deepak intervened and tried to protect the Muslim owner a senior citizen.

The argument started and there were little bit of confrontation with Deepak saying who are they to pressurise the owner to change the name etc.?

The matter gained momentum after Deepak when asked by the Bajrang Dal activists as to who he is said that his name is Mohammed Deepak. Later on the matter gained media hype in entire print, social and electronics media with another rally of Bajrang Dal activists taking place in Kotdwar and an FIR registered against some Bajrang Dal activists and Deepak Kumar.

Later on the journalists from other states and Delhi came to Kotdwar and interviewed Deepak intensely.

He was called by LOP Rahul Gandhi who met him in Delhi with his associate Rawat and also AAP MP Sanjay Singh and several other politicians other than BJP who patted him and congratulated him for establishing communal harmony .

Meanwhile, Deepak approached the Uttarakhand High Court to seek justice demanding quashing of the FIR against him.

According to the report of NBT : The Uttarakhand High Court heard a petition filed by Deepak Kumar, a gym owner from Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. During the hearing, the High Court accused Deepak of sensationalizing the matter. On January 28th, Bajrang Dal members allegedly harassed a Muslim shopkeeper in Kotdwar. Deepak intervened and was seen clashing with Bajrang Dal members. A video of the incident went viral, in which he was seen identifying himself as “Mohammed Deepak.”
In this case, a Bajrang Dal member filed an FIR against Deepak and another of his associates for allegedly making derogatory remarks, snatching his phone, and threatening him.

Deepak filed a petition in the Uttarakhand High Court regarding this matter. In this petition, he sought the quashing of the FIR, protection, and an investigation into the police’s inaction in the harassment case. The High Court requested a status report on the investigation.

Additionally, details of donations received by Deepak after the video went viral were sought. During the hearing of the petition, the court remarked, “The accused is pleading for protection? You are suspicious and trying to sensationalize the case.” Said the news report.
