The managing director of Haldwani based jeweller has accused the GM of Haldwani Gold showroom of decamping the Gold and Diamind jewellery worth rupees 90 lakhs.
According to the latest news Nagendra Chandra Bhatt, MD of Swarnika Jewellers, a resident of Rudrapur, submitted a complaint to the Haldwani Kotwali police, stating that his company, Accufox Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., operates a jewellery showroom. Tarun Jain, son of Vimal Chandra Jain, a resident of Haldwani, works as the general manager at his Haldwani showroom. He had full responsibility for direct control, management and custody of the company’s gold and diamond jewellery stock and was in charge of transactions and monitoring of high value stock.
Nagendra Bhatt informed that a stock audit was conducted from 24 February 2026 to 28 February 2026, in which gold and diamond jewellery stock worth approximately Rs 90 lakh was found missing.
Tarun Jain was directly responsible for the said stock. It is also noteworthy that prior to March 5, 2026, he was on leave for approximately four days and returned to the office on March 5, 2026. That same day, at approximately 12 noon, he left the office, stating that he had to meet a client. He subsequently neither returned to the office nor contacted the company in any way.
Attempts were made to contact him by phone, but his number was also switched off. Nagendra Bhatt stated that the above facts clearly indicate that the company’s valuable gold and diamond jewelry stock has been embezzled and criminally breached, and that the individual involved is deliberately absconding. He demanded that a case be filed against Tarun Jain, legal action be taken, and the accused be arrested immediately, and the embezzled stock recovered.
