Congress gheraoed the Gairsain Assembly at Bharadisain in the second day of Budget session.
While the budget session is under process for the second day at Bharadisain, Gairsain the main opposition party Congress , it’s leaders and hundreds of acrimonious activists Gheraoed the assembly building raising anti government slogans on issues such as atrocities against women, unemployment and bribery scams, Justice for Ankita Bhandari, Inflation and corruption, Law and order situation, Anti-farmer policies, Save MNREGA struggle, Problems of the traders community, Human-animal conflict, Poor healthcare services etc. The secund day of Budget session also witnessed vociferous scenes and verbal confrontation between the treasury benches and the opposition Congress. The police tried their best to stop them, but in the meantime, several activists broke through the barrier and rushed towards the Assembly. A fierce clash ensued with the police. The situation of activist protests and clashes with the police continues. The gherao rotest demonstration was led by the Congress resident Ganesh Godiyal.
Meanwhile,at Shastradhaea Dehradun the activists of the Gairsain Sthayi Samiti led by the former IAS and senior bureaucrat in Uttarakhand Vinod Raturi are sitting on KRAMIK ANSHAN in support of their long pending demand for declaring Gairsain as the permanent capital of Uttarakhand.
