A pickup vehicle fell into a ditch near Satpuli, killing the driver. Police and SDRF launched a rescue operation.
Pauri Garhwal: A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday in the Satpuli area of the district.
A pickup vehicle coming from Gumkhal near Hotel Himalaya in Malli Satpuli went out of control and fell into a deep ditch, due to which the driver died on the spot.
According to information received from the police, today on 09 March 2026, Satpuli police station received information that a pickup vehicle had met with an accident and fallen into a ditch below the road near Hotel Himalaya in Malli Satpuli area.
Upon receiving the information, the Satpuli police station and the SDRF team immediately reached the spot and jointly launched a rescue operation.
During the rescue operation, the team recovered the body of a man from the vehicle that had fallen into the ditch, and he was identified as the driver. The deceased was identified as Hari Om (42 years old), son of Jagdish Singh, a resident of Pilkhuwa, Police Station Pilkhuwa, District Hapur (Uttar Pradesh).
According to preliminary information, the pickup vehicle, number UP 13 CT 9549, was traveling from Pilkhuwa to Pauri. The vehicle was loaded with Ayurvedic medicines and only the driver was on board.
