Two people died tragically in a horrific accident near Zainal intersection under Bhikiyasain tehsil of Almora district.
According to the information received, there was a gas leak inside the pickup vehicle bearing number UP20CT0048, due to which both the persons died on the spot due to suffocation/gas poisoning.
Upon receiving the information, local residents and the administration arrived at the scene. Police have taken the bodies into custody and launched an investigation.
At present the deceased have not been identified; relatives are being traced on the basis of the vehicle number. This incident has caused a wave of mourning in the entire area. May God give peace to the departed souls.
