Two shooters hired to eliminate dreaded maneaters leopards in Gajalt village, Machaans built and shooters on the job vigilantly
After the incessant pressure of the highly infuriated villagers of the maneater infested villages where atleast two persons were killed and ine four year child injured by the dreaded maneaters and subsequent visit of the DM Swati Bhadoria in Gajalt village of Pauri Garhwal , the orders for shooting of the maneater has been issued and two professional shooters also hired who have already fixed their Machaan in the villages and nearby jungle in search of the dreaded maneaters. Kindly recall that one Mr. Nautiyal a young boy was killed in Gajalt village and another in Dhandri Gaon with a four year boy injured in Dewar village of Kot block including at Koti village as well.
According to the sources the district administration and forest department are active and alert to dispose of the man-eating leopard which had killed a man from Gajalt village of Tehsil Pauri.
After receiving approval to kill the leopard, the Forest Department has completed all the necessary preparations, while the District Magistrate himself is monitoring the case and taking constant updates.
SDO Forest Department Ayesha Bisht said that cage, camera trap and drone have been deployed to catch the leopard and monitor its activities.
Apart from this, a platform has been prepared to shoot the leopard and two experienced shooters of the Forest Department have been deployed, who are constantly keeping an eye on the situation in the area.
The district administration and forest department have assured the villagers that their safety is a top priority and that efforts are being made at every level to eliminate the leopard menace.
