Though the Congress has won only one seat in this byelection but it is a joyous victory for the party which had been showing a very poor show in the last three elections. From Sangam Vihar its candidate Suresh Choudhary has win by 3268 votes defeating the near BJP rival. However, the BJP though had win on seven seats but it lost its two seats as it had nine seats having lost two this time reducing its victory in these municipal byelections to seven from nine.
