Ekeven people died in a bomb explosion in a car in front of Red Fort . Declared brought dead by doctors of LNJP hospital.
Twenty four injured
A powerful bomb loaded in a car in a densely populated area in front of Red Fort was exploded probably from some remote. The intensity of the explosion was so powerful that the car in which the bomb was planted was completely damaged and the cars parked around have also been damaged with five to seven cars catching fire. Around twenty four to thirty persons have been grievously injured and sent to the LNJP hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead. The Chandni Chowk market as usual was completely jampacked with rush at 6.40 PM when the bomb planted in the car was exploded creating complete choas and panic in the area. The explosion of bomb not only damaged the cars and their parts flew away but the sound was so powerful that everyone heard it. Till now there are confirmed reports of eleven person having been brutally and tragically killed with his body parts mutilated, spreading around. An eyewitness said to the TV reporters that a car about two feet away from him was plying on the road in which all of a sudden a powerful blast occured . The car was the I-20 brand probably said an eye witness. The police, crime branch, fire experts, bomb squads etc have reached the spot and the police is trying to find out the CCTV footage. This blast happened when today at Faridabad, the police found a large quantity of Ammoniam Nitrate said one of the reporters of India TV. Hundreds of various inlookers have gathered at the spot . According to the latest information eleven people are reported to have been brought dead and twenty four people injured, some grievously. The Special Cell deputy commissioner is also on the spot.
Speaking to reporters the Delhi Police Commissioner , IPS Satish Golcha said that the blast occured ar 6.52 PM in front of Red Fort when a vehicle stopped at a Red Light. There were some passengers in the vehicle . He catagorically said that some people were injured and and some died , though he didn’t disclosed the exact numbers of the dead then, about 1.5 hours ago. As soon as he came to learn about the news the Delhi police senior officials , the FSL, NSG and NIA reached the spot and started their investigations. The impact of the blast was very powerful with several veg cles damaged, people killed and injured said the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the union Home minister Amit Shah after learning about this tragedy reached the LNJP hospital and met the injured inquiring about their health. He will go to the vlsit spot of the blast. The Delhi police and all the top investigating agencies are proactively busy in the probe and it has been learn the the vehicle in which the explosion occured was allegedly in the name of Nadeem. The car had the Haryana number plate and it was I20 car. The blast occured near the Red Fort metro gate precincts reveal various news reports.
The prime minister Narendra Modi while expressing his deepest condolences on the deaths and injuries at Red Fort blast said on X : Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi earlier this evening. May the injured recover at the earliest. Those affected are being assisted by authorities. Reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and other officials.
The Congress MP and LOP Rahul Gandhi said on X : The news of the car bomb explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station is deeply saddening and concerning. The loss of many innocent lives in this tragic accident is deeply distressing.
I stand with the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in this tragic time and offer my deepest condolences. I hope all the injured recover as soon as possible said Rahul Gandhi.
