The heroine of eighties and nineties Sulakshna Pandit died of cardiac arrest at the age of 71

Once a prominent and beautiful actress in Bollywood having worked as heroine n important roles in more than fifty films including working with leading starts like Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Sanjiv Kumar and several others who started her career as a singer Sulakshna Pandit breathed her last in Mumbai after cardiac arrest at the age of 71. Sister of popular music composed Jatin Lalit who made her debut in 1975 from the movie ULJHAN with celluloid hero Sanjeev Kumar with this pair becoming very popular in Mumbai film industry. Though a singer primarily having sung at the age of 9, making her singing debut in 1967 with a popular sung ” Sat Samundar Paar Se” with eminent singers Lata Mangeshkar in movie TAQDEER  , Sulakshana Pandit entered hindi cinema as heroine being immensely beautiful having there after acted as heroine in more than fifty movies. Having been passionately in live with actor Sanjeev Kumar Sulakshna Pandit went into sort of depression after the sad demise of actor Sanjeev Kumar in 1985 . She acted  with Vinod Kumar in Heri Feri  as his heroine the film going super duper hit, with Rajesh Khanna in Bundalbaaj when his stardom was at his ieak, with Jitendra in Waqt ki Deewar and with Sashi Kapoor in Salaken , Faansee and Amar Shakti and Roshi Kapoor etc.  All these films of her and several others were memorable which draw a fantastic business on box office. Her some of the other films were : Dharampura Jaanta, Waqt, Garam Khoon, Khaandaan, Bindi, Kasam Khan ki, Shankar Shambhu, Gora,  Raja, Ganga aur Suraj etc.  Sulakshana Pandit who came under depression gradually after actor Sanjiv Kumar’s death in 1985 with whom she was badly in live and want to marry him used to say that these death had a lasting  impact in her taking the toll of my health. I was mentally disturbed and  went ill  for a long time said Sulakshna Pandit before her death. She died in Nanawati hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest. During seventies and eighties her acting career was in the rise by after the death of Sanjiv Kumar she went into depression gradually. She was the niece uf the eminent clasical vocalist Pandit Jasraj which very few people know.
