MDDA takes biggest action against illegal plotting and illegal construction at Bhaniawala, Rani Pokhri, Jhabrawala, Buxarwaala and Bhaniawala

On the strict instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA), led by Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari, has taken the biggest action so far against illegal plotting and illegal construction.
Within the last one month, the authority has demolished about 150 bigha illegal plotting and sealed dozens of constructions including more than a dozen multi-storey buildings at various places including Rishikesh.
18 bighas of illegal plotting in Jhabrawala of Doiwala, 10 to 12 bighas in Dhandi village of Ranipokhari, 25 bighas in Buxarwala of Bhaniyawala and 40 bighas of illegal plotting in Haridwar Road (near Sai Temple) of Dehradun were demolished.
Apart from this, 10 bighas of illegal plotting in Sheeshambada area and 5 bighas in Rupnagar Badripur were also demolished. Sealing action was taken on several illegal constructions in Majri Grant, Haridwar Road, Nehru Colony, Sahastradhara Road and Shimla Bypass Hinduwala area.
The biggest action was seen in Rishikesh, where more than a dozen multi-storey buildings were sealed in Nirmal Bagh, Virbhadra Road, Gali No. 10–11, Koel Grant and other parts of the authority area.
MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari said that the intention of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is clear. Illegal plotting and construction against the rules will not be tolerated at any cost in the state and this action is part of this policy.
He reiterated that today’s action is not the last step, but this process will continue in the future as well. The authority will reach every place where a structure has been built against the standards.
The authority is also constantly making the general public aware that they should not fall prey to the trap of land mafia. The legality of any plot or construction must be confirmed from the authority.
Plotting or construction without permission from MDDA can lead to not only financial loss but also legal problems for the general public in future.
MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari says that it is very important to make
tough decisions to save the beauty and planned development of Uttarakhand.
Illegal constructions not only harm the environment and geography but are also a threat to the identity and future of the state. This is why Chief Minister Dhami has given clear instructions that those who break the law will not be spared at any cost.
These actions, carried out in the presence of bulldozers and police force, have given a strong message to the illegal construction and plotting mafia.
At the same time, local people believe that this step of the government is in the right direction because infrastructure and resources were being badly affected due to illegal activities.
MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari has also clarified that this action taken under the Dehradun District Authority area sends a message across the state that Uttarakhand is now completely in action mode against illegal plotting and illegal construction.
