Heavy landslides in Kinnaur and torrential rains’ warning in several districts of Uttarakhand

In Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh and in several parts of Uttarakhand the heavy rains, ravishing floods and landslides with heavy boulders falling and damaging vehicles including blocking of the roads for several hours and even more than a day have literally made the people’s lives at standstill n therefore hell.

In Kinnaur,Himachal Pradesh there have been massive landslides including heavy rocky stones falling down unpredictably damaging a
a tanker and several trucks ultimately blocking the majn highway.

The situation is tremendously chaotic with several loaded trucks withheld between the heavy rubble and heavy stones amidst rains. From Satpuli to Gumkhal and vice versa the road is completely booked cked in view of the landslide.

Similarly in Bhaniyowala, Dehradun the ravishing floods have created havoc and in several other parts of Uttarakhand the roads are caving in, mountains coming down and roads blocked completely with the Alaknanda river’s level also crossing the danger mark.

In Champawat, Nainital and several districts of Garhwal the meteorological department has unambiguously given alerts in view of warnings of heavy incessant rains and official holiday for students fearing untoward incidents due to natural calamities. In Neeti Ghati too due to excessive rains and gushing high speed forcefully flood the bride has been washed away as below in the picture.

  1. North Himalayan States -Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh & Jammu Kashmir were victims of natural calamities. We must a strategy to tackle it properly.
