Two day national executive meeting of Indian Youth Congress commences at Goa

Goa, 05 September 2021: The two day National Executive meeting under the joint leadership of Indian Youth Congress Shri Krishna Allavaru, joint secretary AICC n in charge IYC n it’s chief Sriniwas BV commenced at Goa on Sunday. The meeting was attended by the national office bearers and State Presidents of Youth Congress from every corner of the country.

The National executive meeting started with the Youth Congress in charge Krishna Allavaru and IYC chief Srinivas BV hosting the national tri colour on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and paise their respectful floral tributes to Bharat Ratna former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan followed by tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

The former Union Minister and present Rajya Sabha MP P. Chidambaram and Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar duly started the national executive meeting by lighting of the lamp along with Krishna Allavaru and Srinivas PV.

Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP P. Chidambaram called upon the Youth Congress national office bearers and state presidents from all over the country to play an important role in the elections of five states going to polls next year acquainting them of the reality of current burning issues of the country. In his address, he emphasized on rising unemployment and the National Monetization Pipeline, and said that the National Monetization Pipeline scheme of the Central Government is a broad daylight robbery. “Whatever has been created by the governments during the last 70 years is being given in the hands of a select few he reiterated. People should be aware of this menace and oppose it he said.” He also said that there was no consultation on this policy with the opposition parties taking every public interest decisions unilaterally. There was no debate in Parliament. The government would never allow discussion on the issue he added.

Goa Congress State President Girish Chodankar while addressing the national executive meeting, appreciated the achievements n hard work done by the Youth Congress during the Lockdown, and also discussed about the Vidhan Sabha elections to be held in the coming days in the state.

On this occasion the former Chief Minister of Goa Shri Digambar Kamat also arrived and while addressing the National Executive, mentioned the important role of Youth Congress in Goa elections. On the significant issues of national security and defence Praveen Sawhney also gave his important lecture.

In addition to this, several important suggestions were given with regard to youth unemployment, inflation, farmers by all the office bearers of Youth Congress including discussions on the fast approaching assembly elections in various states. There was also a discussion regarding the internal elections of the Indian Youth Congress. The meeting was also addressed by Joint secretary AICC Allavaru n IYC chief Srinivas BC.

Indian Youth Congress National Media In-charge Rahul Rao said that the second day’s meeting of the two-day National Executive will be held tomorrow, in which many other significant topics of national importance will be discussed.
