The High Hillers staged drama Madhu Mandaan’s artists felicitated at Garhwal Bhawan

The artists of the High Hillars Theatre group who had acted in the popular play “Madhu Mandaan” written by Dr. Satish Kaleshwari and directed by Hari Semwal were honoured at Garhwal Bhawan and their acting lauded by those present on this occassion. The ” Madhu Mandaan ” play had been enacted at LTG Theatre at Mandi House and Garhwal Rifles Auditorium Lansdowne at the invitation of the first Citizen of the hill station, Brigadier Vinod Negi with hundreds of bravehearts of Garhwal Rifles enjoying it to the core. The writer and director of the play were also felicitated with honours for this outstanding play. Madhu Mandaan has also won the third Bhawani Dutt Thapliyal Natya Pratoyi puruskar launched for the very first time by PRAGYA ARTS and its chief eminent actor, playwright and author including documentary producer etc. Laxmi Rawat. Madhu Mandaan bagged the third award out of 13 plays and was awarded at the Press Club of India Auditorium the other day. The artists of Madhu Mandaan who were felicitated yesterday evening at Garhwal Bhawan for their outstanding histrionics including those behind the stage were Ekagra Kaleshwari, Shekhar Bhatt, Manmohan Upreti, Pushpa Devlin, Lakshmi Danu, Lakshmi Juyal, Dindayal Juyal, I.P. Uniyal, Dharmendra, Dharamvir Rawat, Shashi Badola,Rampal Kimoli, Ravindra Gorry Rawat, Savita Pant,Vijay Lakshmi Vedwal, Mamta Karnataka, Vinod Negi, Virendra Singh Gusainji, Umesh Bandooni , Ravindra Gudiyal, Darshan Singh Rawat, Brijmohan Vedwal, Geeta Gusain Negi and Ramesh Thangriyal , Manju Bahuguna, etc. Those who felicitated them were Sunil Negi, editor UKnationews and senior journalist, Dr. Satish Kaleshwari, Hari Semwal, actor, director Rakesh Gaur, Ramesh Ghildiyal, Jagdish Dhaundial, eminent musician, Mr. Papnei, Sanyogita Pant, Kusuma Bisht and others.

The event was a grand success with speakers lauding the High Hillers Group registered in 1994 having till now performed thirty five successful Garhwali n Kumaoni plays in various theatres and auditoriums of Delhi and Uttarakhand earning tremendous appreciation touching new heights of progress and popularity.

The souvenir of the High Hillars and Madhu Mandaan play was also released in this occassion.
