Tragedies after tragedies are happening in Uttarakhand especially during the monsoons. The neighbouring Himachal Pradesh is no less behind in catastrophic disasters and subsequent fatal accidents and tragedies. In Chamba area of Tehri Garhwal this morning yet another tragedy occured in which both woman and her husband were brutally killed sending shock waves all around when one of the heavy boulders fell on their house while they were sleeping. The duo daughter and her son in law had come to visit their mother when they were smashed under the debris of the house after the fall of the boulder due to massive rains. The daughter and the son in law died on the spot. The SDRF team and the local police including the villagers retrieved the dead bodies from under the heavy rubble and sent them for legal formalities like Postmortem and lodging of an FIR etc.
Similarly in Himachal Pradesh’s in district Kullu near Luhri on Sunni Marg two huge boulders fell down on a Max like vehicle and brutally killed the driver on the spot by smashing his head. The front portion of the vehicle is so badly smashed that had there been other occupants they would also have met the same deadly fate.
During monsoons the life of the village residents have become extremely dangerous and incidents of boulders falling down, over flooding, landslides and traffic jams including fatal accidents have become order of the day with everyone helpless. May the Almighty render peace to the departed souls and give enough strength to the bereaved family to bear this irrepressible tragic loss. Om Shanti
