There is no parallel to faith in Almighty. In Uttarakhand especially in the Kumaon region Deity Goljyu Devta is extremely popular and there are millions of his devotees there and worldwide. It is called a renowned Sidhpeeth. There are primarily two temple of Goljyu Devta ji in Kumaon Uttarakhand , one at Ghodakhal and another at Chitai Almora . In Uttarakhand too at Kandoliya Pauri “His” temple exists but in the name as “Kandolya Devta” where every year a massive spritual puja is organised and Bhandara done on a large scale with lakhs of devotees coming to pay their obeisance.
Those who visit the temple of Goljyu Devta after offering their prayers/ obeisance write their request of wishes in the form of a letter addressed to this Deity and tied in the temple, which are addressed by all means say “His” ardent followers. After the wishes are fulfilled they donate brass bells ” Ghantas” at the temple as a mark of respect to the deity Goljyu Devta. There are thousands of brass ” Ghantaas” bells on the railing of the temples at Ghodikhal and Chitai, Almora by thousands of devotees.
Just yesterday one of the devotees donated Brass Bells weighing 1500 kgs after his wishes were fulfilled. Each bell donated weighed fifty kgs. Such is the faith in Lord Goljyu in Kumaon and Garhwal Uttarakhand.
