There is an extremely sad news about the brutal death of Assistent Superintendent of Police Akash Rao Giripunje in Sukma district of Chattisgarh which is naxal infested. According to the latest news SSP Akash Rao Giripunje became the deadly victim of the pressure IEDs clandestinely laid down by the Maoists. In addition to this deadly casualty Sub Divisional Officer ( P) Bhanupratap Chandrakar and the police station incharge Sonal Gwala including several other officers have also been grievously injured in this d pressure IED explosions. ASP Giripunje was a brave, dedicated and upright decorated officer who was having boured good number of times for his exemplary contribution in terminating the naxalites from the Sukma region of Chattisgarh. It may be recalled that a few days ago about twenty seven dreaded Naxalites including twelve women were killed by the security forces in Chattisgarh Narayanpur who were carrying a collective bounty of 3.33 crores in the state. The union Home minister has congratulated and even awarded several officers of this anti-naxalite operation recently vowing to wipe it out completely by the next year. Just today union Home minister Amit Shah write in X : Eleven years of Sewa has also proved to be a milestone in the direction of national security. Naxalism is on its last legs, peace has been established in Jammu-Kashmir and the Northeast, India now responds to terrorist attacks by entering the homes of terrorists. This shows the changing picture of India under the Modi government.
